On Tuesday 12 December 2023, the first Women’s Health Atrium seminar was held, marking the official launch of the Institut Hors-Murs (IHM) Santé des Femmes, an innovative initiative designed to bring together the expertise of Université Paris Cité clinicians and researchers in a diverse range of disciplines. The IHM is positioned as a driving force for excellence and innovation in research, clinical practice and training, and contributes to global health, with a real and lasting impact on the health of women and newborns at local, national and global levels.
Among the many prestigious speakers were: Joseph LARMARANGE, public health demographer, Alexandre DUMONT, obstetrician-gynaecologist and scientific coordinator of the Quali-Dec project and Annabel DESGRÉES du LOÛ, public health demographer… all three IRD research directors at Ceped (Université Paris Cité, IRD, Inserm).
It is because women’s health is at the heart of the major challenges of today and tomorrow that such an inaugural seminar was held, offering high-level presentations and exchanges around 5 major themes, including “perinatal health”.
